I happened to notice one evening, when I set my glass of water down into a beam of sunlight coming in through the window, that the refraction and dispersion cast the most beautiful caustics and rainbow highlights in the shadow of the glass. ![]()
I immediately realized that I simply must have a picture of it for my desktop wallpaper.

I can remember there being a period when I first understood the whole “true meaning of Christmas” thing that every Christian seems to learn growing up. It isn't about Santa or decorations or getting presents; it's about baby Jesus and Luke 2:8-18 and giving presents. Like that one Peanuts Christmas special, a McGee and Me Christmas episode, and the Vegetales story with Buzzsaw Louis.
A few weeks ago, I came down with a sudden illness, and was unable to work for the Malex Media Network™ like I normally do for almost the entire week.

I'm sure anyone who has seen it noticed that this week's splicky mission is the first to be almost completely drawn using pencil and paper. I've posted images before whose elements are only pencil drawings, but this one is a new kind. You see, I've recently worked out a new drawing method for myself.
